London Market Buyers Report 2026

London neighbourhoods: how the city lives. Explore who lives where, how households own and rent, and how neighbourhoods compare across London. A borough average can hide very different neighbourhoods.

See the pattern. Compare the place.

4,994 neighbourhoods across 33 London boroughs. Explore household tenure, age, qualifications, occupations, students, commuting, ethnicity and household deprivation.

Renting and ownership

Compare the balance of private renting and home ownership. These figures describe household tenure; current rents and sales activity provide the next layer of market evidence.

Age and household mix

See where residents aged 25–44 make up a larger share of the population. Age gives context to an area, but does not identify who is buying a home.

Qualifications and occupations

Compare educational qualifications and occupational profiles. Use these as background to the neighbourhood, alongside separate evidence on prices and affordability.

Put places side by side

Compare up to three neighbourhood profiles, each with its best-fit ward and borough context. Differences from London are expressed in percentage points.

What the figures mean

Source:- Office for National Statistics (Open Government)

This is a 2026 publication using official ONS neighbourhood observations. Neighbourhoods are Lower Layer Super Output Areas. ONS 2026 best-fit ward names provide context, not identical boundaries. Borough and London percentages use summed numerators divided by summed denominators. Five London-wide quintile bands stay fixed when filtering boroughs. Darker shading indicates higher share, not a better neighbourhood.
